What day is the Race?
The race will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at 8am.
How do I register?
Is there same day registration?
Yes. But due to the fact that we have to order shirts and medals 10 days in advance you are not guaranteed a medal or a shirt. We will do our best to still get you one, but we can't guarantee it and we can't guarantee sizes. Any extras will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
What time is the race?
10k starts at 8am. 5k will start at 8:15am. The 1 mile walk will begin at 9:30am.
If I am not a runner what else can I do to help refugees?
So glad you asked! You can volunteer to help at the race by filling out our volunteer form on the volunteer page.
Where is the race?
The race will start at Sky Ridge High School in Lehi and follow part of the murdock trail and other paved trails. Almost none of the run will be on the actual roadway with cars it's almost 100% paved seperated trails (a tiny piece of the 10k is on a neighborhood roadway).
When is Packet Pickup?
Will be at Sky Ridge High on Friday night, Aug. 5th from 7-9pm and on Saturday morning before the race from 7:00-7:30am.
Will you be giving the finishers a finishers medal? And a race shirt?
Yes! and yes! And they are sweet! (Just sayin!)
Will you be doing a half marathon?
No. Right now we are only planning to do a 1 mile walk, 5k and 10k.
Is this race family friendly/kid friendly?
Absolutely! We hope the whole family will come and join in the fun! We will be doing a 1 mile walk where all children are welcome to "race" as well. The 1 mile walk will not be timed. Strollers are welcome but will need to stay near the back of the race lineup.
No bikes or scooters will be allowed on any of the courses or in the race unless there is a racer will special needs who requests permission beforehand. Strollers are allowed but will need to stay near the back of the race lineup.
Can I bring pets?
No. Pets are not allowed at this race or at the finish line areas (unless it is a service dog). Due to allergies and other restrictions of the race location. Thanks for being considerate!
Will I get to meet refugees?
We hope so! We are working with refugees in the area who are excited to participate with us on race day and will be helping support our runners, run with us, give out winners medals and other events.
